Permabond LH055 is a PFAS-free thread sealant with a low breakaway torque, making it ideal for future maintenance or disassembly of parts. Providing a strong seal on both tapered and parallel threads, LH055 is suitable for bonding a wide variety of metals.
A single-component anaerobic adhesive, LH055 cures in the absence of air between metal surfaces to form a durable seal with good chemical resistance. Suitable for use on a variety of metals including steel and brass, it is ideal for plumbing systems, cooling circuits, pumps, valves and other threaded metal pipe connections requiring dependable sealing and straightforward maintenance.

Low breakaway torque for easy disassembly
Permabond LH055 has a relatively low breakaway torque (8 Nm/70 in.lb on zinc) which makes it ideal for future maintenance of parts, while still providing a strong, resistant seal. The product secures threaded fittings without causing them to seize. Should bonded parts need to later be disassembled, this can be done using normal tools. No excessive force or heat is required to undo the seal, leading to a greater product lifespan.
Approvals for gas and drinking water
Permabond LH055 is suitable for sealing threaded pipes containing a variety of substances. It has KTW-BWGL as well as WRAS approval for contact with drinking water, as well as DVGW gas approval. In addition, the adhesive is highly chemically resistant, making it a well-rounded product suited to demanding industrial and plumping applications.
