Modern slavery, human trafficking and child labor statement

Introduction

This statement sets out Permabond Engineering Adhesives Limited actions to understand and address potential risks of modern slavery and child labour in its business and supply chains, and the steps we take to ensure that such practices do not occur within our operations or those of our suppliers.

We are committed to conducting our business ethically, transparently, and with integrity, and to complying with all applicable legislation, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We operate a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery and unlawful child labor.

This statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1 January to 31 December 2026.

Organizational structure and supply chains

Permabond Engineering Adhesives Limited is a manufacturer of engineering adhesives supplying to industry worldwide. The Company has office headquarters in Hampshire, UK and supplies goods to customers in UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions.

The Company works with a range of suppliers and business partners to deliver our services. Supply routes include directly to goods manufacturers and via authorised distributors, stockists, sub-distributors and industrial resellers.

Countries of operation and supply

Permabond Engineering Adhesives Limited and its sister companies currently operate worldwide. Product is manufactured in Hampshire, UK and also sourced from our parent company, which has 2 sites in Italy. We have warehousing and sales offices in China and the USA, as well as registered companies in Germany and Mexico.

Our supply chains extend worldwide with exceptions to areas subject to embargos and/or trade sanctions.

Risk assessment

We assess the risk of modern slavery and child labour within our operations and supply chains by considering:

  • Nature of the service or goods being supplied
  • Country or region of operation
  • Industry sector risk indicators
  • Supplier relationships and labour practices

Where higher-risk areas are identified, we apply enhanced due diligence and monitoring measures.

The following is the process by which the Company assesses whether or not particular activities or countries are high risk in relation to modern slavery and child labour:

  • Any distributors are fully vetted for suitability before entering into a business relationship with Permabond Engineering Adhesives Limited.
  • Materials sourced by Permabond Engineering Adhesives Limited for use in product manufacture or packaging come from reputable sources.
  • High-risk activities: We do not partake in any activities which are at high risk of modern slavery and child labour.

Definitions

We recognise that modern slavery includes:
  • Human trafficking
  • Forced or compulsory labour
  • Slavery or servitude
  • Exploitation involving coercion, abuse or restriction of freedom
We recognise that child labour includes work that:
  • Breaches minimum age requirements under applicable law
  • Interferes with compulsory education
  • Is harmful to a child’s health, safety or development Involves exploitation or unsafe working conditions

Commitment

The Company acknowledges its responsibilities in tackling modern slavery and child labour and is committed to ongoing compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.

We do not knowingly engage with any organisation that is involved in modern slavery, human trafficking or the unlawful employment or exploitation of children.

We ensure that all labour used in the delivery of our services is obtained legally and ethically and we comply with applicable employment legislation.

Supply chains

We expect all suppliers, contractors and business partners to uphold the same high ethical standards as we do. This includes:

  • Compliance with all applicable labour and employment laws
  • Prohibition of forced labour, human trafficking and child exploitation
  • Provision of safe and fair working conditions
  • Respect for workers’ dignity and rights

Where suppliers fail to meet these standards, we will take appropriate action, which may include terminating the business relationship.

Due diligence

We apply proportionate due diligence when engaging and reviewing suppliers, which may include:

  • Assessing modern slavery and child labour risks prior to onboarding
  • Reviewing supplier practices on a regular basis
  • Conducting supplier assessments or audits where appropriate
  • Monitoring high-risk suppliers more closely
  • Taking corrective action where issues are identified
  • Excluding or disengaging from suppliers who fail to meet required standards

Training

We provide appropriate training and awareness to employees as part of induction and ongoing development. This is designed to help staff:

  • Understand what modern slavery and child labour are
  • Identify potential warning signs
  • Report concerns appropriately
  • Understand escalation procedures

We reinforce awareness through internal communications and supplier engagement.

Reporting concerns and whistleblowing

We encourage all employees, suppliers, and business partners to report any concerns relating to modern slavery or child labour.

We provide clear reporting routes through our whistleblowing policy and ensure that concerns can be raised without fear of retaliation.

We are committed to ensuring that no individual suffers any detrimental treatment as a result of raising a concern in good faith.

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will be reviewed and updated annually.
