Crystal clear, fast curing, and high strength structural acrylic adhesive

Permabond’s new structural acrylic adhesive, TA4204 is proving a hit for bonding clear, colorless substrate materials. It is a 1:1 mix ratio methyl methacrylate-based acrylic adhesive and cures in minutes at room temperature when mixed.

The clear acrylic adhesive is available in convenient 50ml and 400ml cartridges. They dispense with a handgun via a static mixer nozzle. Bulk material is also available for use with automatic dispensing systems on high speed production lines.

Permabond TA4204 bonds a wide variety of materials, including metals, most plastics (particularly good on clear plastics such as polycarbonate and acrylic), composite materials such as GRP and wood. It can replace solvent, heat or friction welding techniques. And can allow greater freedom of substrate material choice.  Typical applications for clear acrylic adhesives include point-of-sale stands, shop displays/shop fitting, artwork, jewelry, high speed production items such as earphones, speakers etc.  The product has better environmental resistance than instant adhesives such as cyanoacrylates and has more gap fill capability.
