Permabond 3D Print Infiltrants are low odor alkoxyethyl cyanoacrylates designed to seal, strengthen, and brighten 3D printed models produced via granular 3D printing methods.
Several grades of these low-odor cyanoacrylates are available to suit individual needs. All of them can be applied either as an “on the spot” coating or in a dip bath. All are single component, moisture cure, low odor, solvent-free, clear, colorless, and cure to a tack-free finish. They are suitable for white and colored parts.
Permabond 3D30 has an ultra-fast cure and provides a high gloss crystal clear surface with brilliant color vibrancy.
Permabond 3D10 has a fast set and provides a shiny surface with brilliant color vibrancy. The low viscosity provides good penetration for higher strength.
Permabond 3D90 is ultra-low viscosity and has a delayed set for maximum penetration for the highest strength. It is ideal for light colors.

3D Print Infiltrants – Directions for Use
Before use:
Refer to SDS for safe handling.
Wear nitrile gloves, safety glasses, and protective
Work in a ventilated area.
Prepare surface with non-stick paper such as freezer paper, PTFE sheet, wax paper, etc…
Determine which method below best suits your part.
Drizzle Method – Ideal for small or delicate parts.
Place part on a protective sheet in a catch pan.
Apply directly from small-size bottles or use spout with larger packaging.
Either apply to the entire part – turning the part as you drizzle, or apply only to very fragile sections then follow with the Dip Method below.
Allow the part to cure – times vary with the product used. Most parts can be handled in less than 15 minutes.
Dip Method
Remove excess powder.
Pour Permabond 3D Infiltrant into a clean metal, glass, polypropylene, or polyethylene container. Ensure the quantity is sufficient to allow complete submersion of the part.
Submerge part slowly so as not to splash the infiltrant.
Keep the part submerged as long as you see bubbles rising. If there are no bubbles, remove the part after 10 seconds.
Transfer part hand to hand over the bath. This will allow excess to drip back into the container and ensure the part will not stick to your gloves.
Wipe any excess infiltrant with paper towels. (Wet towels with water prior to disposing.)
If excess infiltrant pools under the part – wipe it away with paper towels.
Allow the part to cure – times vary with the product used. Most parts can be handled in less than 15 minutes.
Carefully pour any unused infiltrant back into the bottle and cap tightly.
