Traditional methylmethacrylates (MMAs) are flammable and have an unusually strong odor.\u00a0 For many applications, these acrylic adhesives are the absolute best choice.\u00a0 Their uncanny ability to form very strong bonds to a variety of materials, from thin aluminium truck panels to some of the toughest plastics, make them desirable even if they do smell.\u00a0 Manufacturers that require strong bonds to thermoplastics, thermosets, metals, and composites rely on Permabond MMAs (methyl methacrylates.)
