Cyanoacrylate adhesives<\/a> are single component adhesives. They cure by reacting to small traces of moisture on the surface of the substrates.\u00a0 Accelerators speed the cure on very dry or acidic surfaces and on porous surfaces to cause cure prior to the adhesive wicking into the porous substrate.\u00a0 Additionally, they quicken surface cure to a clear non-tacky finish with no white residue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/span>Permabond cyanoacrylate accelerator CS<\/span>A-NF is appropriate for all Permabond cyanoacrylates. The line includes products that vary in; adhesion to different substrates, viscosity, color, temperature resistance, gap filling capability, cure speed, and compatibility, as well as Permabond\u2019s high performance cyanoacrylates which include rapid cure, high temperature resistance, surface insensitive, non-blooming, low odor and impact resistance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nCyanoacrylate Accelerator Directions for Use<\/h3>\n
\u25fcSurfaces should be clean, dry, and grease-free prior to primer application.
\n\u25fcApply Permabond CSA-NF by wiping (using a clean cloth or brush), spraying, or dipping one component.
\n\u25fcAllow CSA-NF to dry before assembling the joint.
\n\u25fcApply Permabond cyanoacrylate adhesive to the untreated surface. Mate the two parts quickly.
\n\u25fcDo not put the adhesive on the treated surface. The adhesive could cure before the parts can be properly mated. Only if the gap is extremely large (>0.5mm) can the activator be applied to both surfaces.
\n\u25fcFor maximum bond strength, allow the adhesive to cure for 24 hours at 23\u00b0C.
\n\u25fcPermabond CSA-NF is formulated to minimize attack and maximize performance on certain plastics. However, test for compatibility prior to use in production.
\nFor post-applying (e.g. for curing excess adhesive fillets or for wire tacking):
\n\u25fcLightly spray or drip activator onto uncured adhesive (do not react large quantities).
