This product has been designed to be compliant with FDA 175.300 as well as EU 10\/2011 regulations for food contact. No matter where in the world your food and drink operation takes place, Permabond ET5164 gives you peace of mind knowing the adhesive you\u2019re using is safe and contains only raw materials conforming to these essential requirements.<\/p>\n

Lightly thixotropic, ET5164 is ideal for bonding stainless steel in food contact applications. However, it also bonds well to other substrates, including mild steel, aluminium, some plastics, ceramics and composite materials. Its rheology has been finely honed so that it is neither too thin, nor too thick. For filter and sieve bonding applications, this gives it the ideal flow control for optimum penetration into and full coverage of mesh, whilst simultaneously ensuring no mess from overflow.<\/p>\n

Long open life and multiple curing options<\/strong><\/h3>\n

ET5164 has a very long open time\/working life at room temperature. This allows plenty of time to make any modifications and finishing touches to the product before bonding. The adhesive cures fully at room temperature in around 24 hours. For faster processing, it can be cured at 60\u00b0C – in so doing, you will achieve working strength in just 20 minutes, and a full cure in an hour. Options for heat curing this adhesive are numerous, from oven curing, induction heating, and infrared heating over the assembly line. The latter option is ideal for those needing fast, efficient curing integrated into the production process.<\/p>\n

Other key benefits of this adhesive include its high shear strength, great water and chemical resistance (the adhesive won\u2019t degrade in the presence of cleaning chemicals) and its neutral, white finish. It comes in easy to dispense 50ml and 400ml cartridges, and is also available to buy in bulk.<\/p>\n
