You can always trim more off the nozzle, so err on the side of caution. Otherwise, you could end up with it gushing out and not be able to backtrack. Use a sharp Stanley knife and do it on a chopping board or protected surface.<br \/>\n<i>Blocked nozzle: <\/i>This can be caused by touching metallic surfaces with the tip of the nozzle. If there is any contamination from metallic particles, this will cause the <a href=\"https:\/\/permabond.com\/products\/anaerobic-adhesives-and-sealants-selector-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">anaerobic adhesive<\/a> to gel, form lumps or cure in the nozzle.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Don\u2019t contaminate the nozzle by touching metal surfaces with the tip<\/li>\n<li>Always replace the cap after use, which is especially important in a metalworking workshop<\/li>\n<li>If spraying an anaerobic activator nearby, make sure the lid is on the adhesive<\/li>\n<li>Store upright once opened to prevent leakage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Automatic dispensing of anaerobic adhesives: <\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Be careful not to contaminate anaerobic adhesive when pouring into a hopper or vat. If using a pressure pot, ensure the dipstick is clean.\u00a0 Dispensing system parts need to be made of inert material, preferably plastic tubing and nozzles. Metal nozzle tips or pressure pots etc. pose a contamination problem for anaerobic adhesives. Blockages can occur in plastic hosing of small diameter when left overnight as the <a href=\"https:\/\/permabond.com\/products\/anaerobic-adhesives-and-sealants-selector-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">anaerobic adhesive<\/a> may gel.<\/p>\n<p>Pressurised air should have some kind of filter inline to minimise the chance of contamination.<\/p>\n<p>Follow the dispensing equipment manufacturer\u2019s cleaning guidelines to maintain your machine and ensure minimal downtime and keep it functioning properly.<\/p>\n<p>Please contact Permabond for more information on dispensing adhesives of all types.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Manual dispensing from the bottle: When first opened, the nozzle will need to be cut to the right diameter to allow dispensing.
