Most anaerobic sealants have warnings on their datasheets against their use in contact with pure oxygen. But not this one! It is approved for use with pure oxygen up to 10 bar\/60\u00b0C (145 psi\/140\u00b0F) and does not exhibit the instability that a normal anaerobic thread sealant would have.\u00a0 This makes it ideal for use on breathing apparatus, oxygen pipelines, regulators and ventilators.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Why use an anaerobic thread sealant instead of PTFE tape?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Less fiddly and time consuming to assemble<\/li>\n<li>Additionally, the adhesive acts as a lubricant, making sure the assembly doesn\u2019t become cross threaded<\/li>\n<li>Equally as important, it is easy to tighten as it offers directional freedom so that you can position component parts facing the correct angle<\/li>\n<li>Because it doesn&#8217;t degrade or shred, it eliminates the risk of loose particles blocking sensitive valves and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Removable using normal tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Permabond MH052 sealant is for use on metal pipes &#8211; including brass and stainless steel fittings. Note, do not use on plastic.
